So, as some of you may have noticed I’ve been struggling with my weight loss lately. I’ve done keto two or three times for months at a time with good to great success. I know it’s very restrictive, but I feel that I should be on it again in order to a) break my plateau, b) regain self-control by limiting what I can and cannot consume in order to stay in ketosis, and c) see an initial (significant) water weight drop to help motivate.
In case anyone is interested, I thought I’d post what I bought tonight to prepare for different eating habits.
My shopping list (bolded my must-haves):
SNACKS AND READY-TO-EAT FOODS/BEVERAGES
- hard cheddar cheese
- sugar-free jello
- macadamia nuts
- salt n’ vinegar almonds
- deli meat
- canned meat
- frozen chicken breasts
- large eggs
- full-fat mayonnaise
- heavy whipping cream
- coconut oil
- natural peanut butter
- almond butter
- liquid stevia (I like EZ-Sweetz)
- soy sauce
- unsweetened almond milk
- unsweetened tea or diet tea w/ splenda
- tea (loose or in bags)
- coffee (add heavy cream and stevia if desired)
I’m pretty excited though I know this might impact my lifting reboot. It’s more important to me to force myself back on track, though, than to hit my old lifting numbers!
